On opening night of the highly anticipated gospel musical, The Love Shack, Kimberley Zulkowski, the plays co-producer spoke exclusively with ReelUrbanNews.com about her colleague, and the plays writer, director, Paul D. Hannah.  “I’m very excited for any opportunity to work with Paul Hannah. Paul is such a talented writer, director and producer. I’m very excited to work with Paul and the outstanding cast and crew of the Love Shack.”

Dave Hollister, Candice Glover, Ann Nesby and Eric Dawkins lead The Love Shack all star cast. In addition to the fine acting, Zulkowski admits the music propels the play. “It’s the music. There is a wide verity of modern gospel and old school gospel music that every one can relate to.”

The Love Shack is staged at the historic Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles through Sunday, February 21, 2016. Since 1927, the Wilshire Ebell Theatre has hosted musical performances and lectures by global leaders and top artists.

The Love Shack is a gospel musical filled with exuberant singing, Joyful dancing and strong character performances. It’s the story of Melvin Love, a famous R&B singer raised in a group home in Chicago (affectionately called The Love Shack). At age 13, Melvin started a successful career singing R&B music. Called to ministry, He eventually retired from singing R&B and opened a church by the same name (House of Love).
