On the night that history will record as one of the most significant political and social events in our nation, the re-election of Barack Obama to an historic seconded term as president of the United States of America, I enjoyed the opportunity to witness history being made with friends at the African American owned, Vapors Cigar Lounge and Shop in Carson, California. Like so many around the nation and world we watched the election returns with bated breath. We shared our political and social philosophes while witnessing a Black man, Barack Obama walk further into history. While cheers and pride collided that historic evening, sitting across from me was a young couple full of talent, insight and ability. As the night came to a close, the young man, Jason Graham, shared a reflection about the election that I believe rings true. “I wish that our forefathers could rise from the dead only for a moment to witness this historic election.”
