The Arthritis Foundation hosted the 30th Annual “Champions For A Cure” Awards Gala. CBS News Travel Editor, Peter Greenberg served as the evening’s master of ceremonies, while Los Angeles Dodgers’ Shortstop Jimmy Rollins and Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Joel M. Matta were presented with the Jane Wyman Humanitarian Award for 2015. John Waite, who received the Champions For A Cure Award, also treated guests to a live performance.

The Champions For A Cure Awards Gala raised over $520,000 to support the Arthritis Foundation’s life-changing tools, resources, scientific research and advocacy initiatives. The Foundation strives to help people live better while searching for a cure to the number one cause of disability in the United States, which affects more than 50 million Americans and 300,000 children.
