NAACP Chairman Exclusive

Roslyn M. Brock, Chairman of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, spoke exclusively with ReelUrbanNews.com about the organizations support of the president’s recent job initiative.  “The NAACP is very supportive of President Obama’s Job’s bill. (The Americans Jobs Act) We’re doing everything that we can to do job training at the local community level to put America back to work. In our nation we need a sustained economy and we need opportunities for job training and job readiness . We must have an educated class of citizens. We’ve got to make sure that our children are not dropping out of school and that they stay engaged and understand the value of work. As the NAACP is working across the country with our local units and state houses we are encouraged by what we’re seeing.
