The National Association of Negro Musicians, founded in 1919, recently celebrated the organizations 95th national convention in Los Angeles, California. The historic organization hosted delegates from across the country while featuring musical and theatrical talent with both local and national appeal. Byron J. Smith, National President, spoke exclusively with ReelUrbanNews.com about what he hoped delegated returned home with following their attendance. “I hope when the delegates leave Los Angeles, they talk about it. I hope when you leave here you feel its something you tell somebody about. I hope when you leave here, you put it on facebook, you tweet about it and you send out emails saying that you missed a great convention.”
