Something For Sunday

The American Baptist Home Mission Societies’ national gathering, Space for Grace, recently convened in Los Angeles California.

The California gathering, held at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport hotel, sought to restore human connections in a world divided by race, religion, culture and class by intentionally inviting diverse voices to explore differing perspectives about contemporary issues affecting congregations and communities across the United States today.

Rev. Dr. Noman Bullock, Interim Pastor, First Baptist Church of Los Angeles and the chair for the local arrangements committee, provided a perspective for the Space for Grace Conference.

“In our society and world today we don’t have opportunities to discuss the issues. And not only talk about the issues but talk about the solutions to those issues. But God gives us space for grace. Space to not only talk about the issues but the ability to talk about solutions. Touching many lives, many ethnicities and cultures to come together in one space to agree, to dialog and strategize for the future of our country and society.”
