Listening at the morning rain, I was musing on the state of some things. It occurred to me that life, as we know it, is full of thin lines. Those of us who like oldies but goodies are reminded that “there is a thin line between love and hate”.
As we watch day and night time soaps, we are painfully aware of the thin line between love and lust. A prominent Baptist pastor use to tell us that a great deal of the time when some one says “I Love You”, they really mean I lust for you.
And then as I watched CBS This Morning, a current legislature responsible for laws related to how big brother watches us, tells of the struggle presented when enacting laws that navigate the thin line between secrecy and safety.
So, we hear again the good book’s admonition to be diligent and sober as we live our lives in the midst of thin lines.
