A pandemic, a virus spreading like a plague. For the first time that we have witnessed, church doors are closed. No Easter shopping, no Easter Egg hunts, and no pastel colored outfits.

COVID-19 has caused the country to shut down. Parks are empty even though the weather is in the midst of change, it’s warmer.

Kids are home, parents are home, and the uncertainty of the future, as scary as it was in the early stages of the virus, has now turned into frustration. Things that we have taken for granted are now cherished, and sorely missed.

As the death toll rises, not being able to visit loved ones has saddened the quality of life. Especially our elderly, who are more prone to this virus and at higher risk to succumb to the virus.

In Chicago, 70% of COVID-19 deaths are black. In the state of Illinois 41% of the residents dying from COVID-19 are black.

Over a million lives have been lost while even more have been infected.
