The current White House occupant has made a mockery of our American experiment that we doggedly struggle to believe will be fulfilled. Not only has he demonstrated his lack of coherent domestic and international policy, moreover; the Russian apologist has made a mockery of the history of democracy.  He seems to be ignorant that on January 1, 1804, Jean-Jacques Desalines was the catalyst of “the first black republic in the world in the Western hemisphere to abolish slavery completely.”

His recent racist’s remark against that first republic, which is Haiti, causes old wounds to fester. Furthermore, I doubt that he is aware that Fredrick Douglass, the noted abolitionist, first stepped foot onto Haitian soil as an American ambassador, a position that he held until 1891. The current White House occupant has made mockery of American to the world but ironically, he is that very mockery.
